Yvette Wu, Founder (she/her/hers)
Yvette is a DEI coach and strategist. She is best described as a creative, ”out of the box” thinker who practices deep compassion - grounded in equity and justice. Her empathetic and curious nature has given her a knack for asking hard yet simple questions at those just right moments while deeply listening to her clients. This superpower paired with her approachable facilitation style has proven invaluable in illuminating DEI gaps and guiding her clients on what to do next.
Through her DEI practice, she has supported many brands including The Forum, Innovate BC, League of Innovators, Sony Image Works, Jillian Harris Designs, Canadian Health Institute for Research, to name a few. She is a systems thinker who leans into solving for root causes. Get ready to be illuminated!
Yvette has led within Fortune 500 companies, medium and large-scale social enterprises, and fast-paced feminist startups. Her diverse industry and corporate background lends a unique mash up of experiences and skill sets that act as a bridge to bring DEI from theory to practice.
Ky Sargeant, DEI Educator

Ky brings an empathetic human-centred approach to all of her work, driven by her unique lived experience. Having lived and worked in multiple cultures, she has developed a keen ability for compassionate communication and a critical eye for the structural impacts on diverse identities. Their charismatic and genuine attitude lets them connect with clients in co-creating innovative solutions for inclusion.
They have led numerous grassroots inclusion efforts to support the experiences of LGBTQ2+, BIPOC, and neurodiverse students at the UBC and currently assists senior administration in shaping future course curricula. As a facilitator, she combines a data-driven approach with her experiences to create a safe environment for learning and discussion on a range of emerging topics.
She has worked with a range of public and private organizations including BCIT, the BC Tech Association, Emily Carr University of Art + Design and more. They believe in listening to traditionally marginalized voices and bridging the gap between executive level and grassroots action.
